New Thundercat Track, “King of the Hill,” Features Bad Bad Not Good and Flying Lotus. It Forms Part of Brainfeeder X, the 10th Anniversary Compilation Album for Flying Lotus’ Celebrated Label. Listen Here.

Flying Lotus is the boss of the Brainfeeder label. To celebrate their 10th Anniversary, they are putting out a compilation album on the 16th of November. It will include 36 tracks in total and 22 unreleased specials. “King of the Hill” acts as a teaser for the full compilation.

The union of Thundercat, Bad Bad Not Good and Flying Lotus is a tantalizing prospect for all three fanbases. Each act adds something very different to the mix and the sound they have achieved on “King of the Hill” sounds fresh and distinct.

The last time any of them released an independent LP was in early 2017 with Thundercat’s Drunk. However, all three have been busy working on collaborative projects in the meantime. Bad Bad Not Good joined forces with Little Dragon recently, whilst Flying Lotus has been composing for movies. Since Drunk, Thundercat has collaborated with Kendrick Lamar and N.E.R.D as well as with Mac Miller on his fifth and final album, Swimming.

“King of the Hill” combines Thundercat’s distinctive soprano vocals with the mellow production of Flying Lotus and the easy groove of Bad Bad Not Good. Listen to it now.
